Armidale Archers welcomes UNE students at O-week 2024
Armidale Archers joined a long list of local service providers at the 'Lifesavers Day' event today (Thursday 22nd February) which showcased opportunities for new students to engage with a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. This has been the club's first attempt to specifically attract UNE students, and the resulting interaction with experienced archers and new-comers to the sport was a great success.
We look forward to welcoming those who signed up at the event, and any who would like to join them from the UNE community and beyond, at a come and try event to be hosted at the club (95 Rockvale Rd.)at 1:30pm on Saturday 24 February (see flyer below for details).
Junior Spirit Field Event and QRE wrapped up for 2024
Armidale archers have just wrapped up the first round of the 2024 Youth Spirit event, which gave archers, under 21 years of age, the opportunity to shoot Armidale Archers' unique filed course. The event attracted around 18 junior participants from around NSW and more than 20 senior entrants in a two day field QRE. Thanks to everyone who participated, and to Armidale Archers club members for organising, running and officiating the tournament. Thanks also to Archery NSW Youth Co-ordinator Tracey Hansford for attending, supporting and participating in the event.
Armidale Archers have been established for over 50 years and have produced archers at local, state, national and international level. We welcome both social and competitive members and pride ourselves on the friendly environment that we have created for the community. Over the duration of this time, we have held many successful tournaments, including those at state and national levels, while maintaining quite a good record to our name. We follow the AA structure and abide by their rules and regulations. We have both target and field facilities available
